'The Mindy Project' Gets Full Season, More 'Ben And Kate' Episodes

Fox Orders More 'Mindy Project' And 'Ben & Kate'

Fox has handed out a full season orders to "The Mindy Project and "Ben & Kate."

“'Ben & Kate' and 'The Mindy Project' have everything we want to stand for in comedy: smart writing, hugely appealing casts and comedy that feels contemporary and real -- which is why we’re confident they will continue to build on what is already an appointment comedy night for young, influential audiences on Tuesdays," Kevin Reilly, chairman of entertainment at Fox, said in a statement.

"The Mindy Project" has received an order for nine new episodes. "Ben & Kate's" order is for six additional episodes.

The series premiere of Mindy Kaling's "The Mindy Project" had an initial rating of 2.4 in the 18-49 demographic and 4.7 million viewers. "Ben & Kate's" series premiere had a 2.1 rating and 4.2 million viewers. Not exactly breakout hit numbers, but on par with Fox's Tuesday comedy block. Both "Ben & Kate" and "The Mindy Project" both premiered early online and on demand.

"Ben & Kate" airs on Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m. ET on Fox and "The Mindy Project" airs on Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET.
