'The Mindy Project' Season 2: Timothy Olyphant To Romance Mindy Kaling In Guest Spot

'Justified' Hunk To Romance 'Mindy'?

It's good to be Mindy Kaling. As the creator, writer and star of Fox's "The Mindy Project," we can't blame the multitalented actress for casting "Justified" lead Timothy Olyphant as her latest love interest -- after all, being the boss has to have its perks.

According to the LA Times, Olyphant will guest star early in Season 2 as Graham Logan, "a wild, professional skateboarder in his mid-40s who nearly runs Mindy over in Union Square before asking her out on a date." It's a role that sounds pretty far removed from Olyphant's critically-acclaimed turn as trigger-happy deputy US marshal Raylan Givens in the FX drama, but it'll undoubtedly be fun to watch.

Kaling and Olyphant previously worked together on two episodes of "The Office" (one of which was written by Kaling) where Olyphant guest-starred as rival paper salesman Danny Cordray.

Olyphant is the latest in a string of high-profile guest stars lined up for the Fox comedy's sophomore season; also on tap are "Happy Endings" star Adam Pally; Kris Humphries; James Franco and "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's" Glenn Howerton.

Season 2 of "The Mindy Project" premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 9:30 p.m. ET on Fox.

Are you looking forward to Olyphant on "Mindy"?
