The Muppets Receive A Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame (PHOTOS)

The Muppets finally secured their place in Hollywood history with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo the Great and newcomer Walter were all in attendance to receive the 2,466th star on the boulevard.

Kermit, whose first TV appearance was in 1955, said: "I want to say on behalf of the Muppets that we are just really happy to be here on Hollywood Boulevard joining some of the greatest names in showbiz."

The Muppets were joined by Lisa and Brian Henson, the daughter and son of "Muppets" creator Jim Henson.

"As the Muppets once sang, 'Look at us. Here we are. Right where we belong.' and yes they do belong thanks to the lovers and dreamers and you the fans," said Lisa Henson.

Disney recently announced that they are bringing "The Muppets" back for a sequel after scoring gold at the Oscars this year for best original song with "Man or Muppet."
