'The Newsroom' New Characters: Marcia Gay Harden, Constance Zimmer And More Cast Additions In Season 2

Meet 'The Newsroom' Newcomers

"The Newsroom" Season 2 premieres on July 14 (10 p.m. ET) and in preparation, HBO has released a behind-the-scenes video introducing some of the new characters joining the cast this year.

First, we're introduced to Marcia Gay Harden's Rebecca Halliday, a First Amendment lawyer who has the unenviable task of trying to keep our outspoken characters from saying the wrong thing during a deposition or cross examination. The video also features Jerry Dantana (Hamish Linklater) a veteran of ACN's DC Bureau who has moved to replace Jim (John Gallagher Jr.) while he's away covering the Romney campaign in New Hampshire.

Also involved in Jim's storyline are Hallie Shea (Grace Gummer), a fellow reporter embedded on the bus with Jim on the road, and Taylor Warren (Constance Zimmer) a Romney campaign spokesperson. Hear from the new cast members and executive producers in the video below, and let us know what you're most looking forward to about "The Newsroom" Season 2 in the comments.

Season 2 of "The Newsrooom" premieres Sun., July 14 at 10 p.m. ET on HBO.
