Aristotle once said, "The whole is greater than the sum of its parts." This concept rings true across many different industries, but none so distinctly as in the film industry. A movie is such a huge entity that would never have the ability to exist on its own. Before this large group of individuals comes together, it is just a whisper of an idea, a thought before a word. Once that group does come together though, then the magic truly happens. Everyone, from the actors and the directors, to the screenwriter and the film crew, plays an integral role in weaving together this rug of ideas and creating a polished product.

"The whole is greater than the sum of its parts."

While the whole may be greater, the whole would not exist without its parts. This is true for every movie, but for the sake of example lets focus on an upcoming release, CLONED: The Recreator Chronicles. The film is comprised of a young and on the rise cast who bring a fresh energy to the film, tempered by seasoned players.

Stella Maeve who plays Tracy Bernstein, a young, spoiled, and selfish girl is able to bring two sides to this character, and manages to convince viewers to root for her survival. Voted one of the 55 faces of the future by Nylon Magazine, Maeve has appeared in the CW's Gossip Girl, The Runaways biopic, and is now starring in the CBS thriller Golden Boy.

Alexander Nifong plays Tracy's love interest, the spineless Craig Carlson. It takes some real life-threatening situations to pull Craig to his senses and start making some tough, but smart decisions. Nifong first came to our attention in teen favorites Glee and Pretty Little Liars. As Craig Carlson, he proves that he is up to the challenge of becoming more than just a love interest.

J. Mallory McCree, a newcomer to the world of film, brings a determination to his character Derek Johnson. The bravest, and perhaps smartest character of the group, McCree brings a level of seriousness and grit to his performance that balances out the other characters initial weaknesses.

Laura Moss brings a calm presence to the film, that likely stems from her Broadway experience. As Lettie in Death of a Salesman back in 1999, Moss's character Elizabeth Miller possesses an air for both drama and death.

John de Lancie, perhaps better known as Q from TV's Star Trek series, lends a seasoned hand to the cast of CLONED. With viewers unsure whether to trust or fear his character, Dr. Frank Miller, de Lancie pulls it off effortlessly.

With a blend of backgrounds and ages, the cast of CLONED successfully narrates this camping trip gone bad thriller, adding moments of fear and anticipation as the truth behind Tupper Island unfolds. With each cast member duly pulling their weight, it is safe to say that CLONED would not be its whole, without a single one of its parts.

CLONED: The Recreator Chronicles is being released nationwide on April 23rd, 2013 on DVD and VOD.
