The Postal Service's 'A Tattered Line Of String' Video Spotlights A Day Of Laundry Turned Upside Down

The Postal Service's New Video Goes Upside Down

The Postal Service is headed to the laundromat in their latest video, a gravity-defying clip set to "A Tattered Line of String." The song, with Jenny Lewis, is a new track from the 10th-anniversary reissue of "Give Up."

The "String" video features a befuddled man whose laundry endeavors are interrupted by a building that appears to be flipping upside down. The quirky camera angles complement the song's upbeat tone, even if the laundry-doer holding on to a washing mashing for dear life isn't have quite as fun of an experience.

"String" marks Postal Service's first single since 2005, when the band was wrapping up its promotion of their successful 2003 album. The Ben Gibbard-fronted group is currently reuniting for a world tour that concludes Aug. 3 with a set at Lollapalooza.
