Millions of women are joining the march in Washington D.C., Chicago, L.A. and other U.S. cities on January 21st – some to protest the new administration, and some to send a message that women’s power and rights are here to stay.

Unexpectedly, women have an extraordinary opportunity to go beyond these messages and to change the course of history, or in this case herstory, to fulfill the Dalai Lama’s 2009 prediction: “The world will be saved by the western woman.”

How?

Simply put: sending synchronized, intentional love into the world – all at once – on the day of the march, whether or not you are marching. Imagine harnessing the power of women’s love and unleashing it from Washington D.C. out to the country and then out to the entire planet!

When I suggested this to a friend of mine, she said, “Right. Thinking about love and peace and navel gazing is great – but when do we get to the taking action part?” Well, as it turns out, synchronized group navel gazing is powerful action.

  • In his book Power vs. Force, David Hawkins, M.D., measures the vibration of emotion through kinesiology or muscle testing. Each feeling has a particular vibrational frequency—with fear/terror having the lowest frequency, and joy/love, the highest. In his research, each person who lives in the energy of optimism and nonjudgment of others counterbalances the negativity of 90,000 individuals who calibrate at the lower levels.
  • The Global Consciousness Project, which began in the Engineering Anomalies Research Lab at Princeton University, is now an international, multidisciplinary collaboration of scientists and engineers who have been collecting data continuously from a global network of physical random number generators for over 15 years. They found that when a great event synchronizes the feelings of millions of people, our network of random number generators in 70 host sites around the world becomes subtly structured. We calculate one in a trillion odds that the effect is due to chance. The evidence suggests ….a unifying field of consciousness described by sages in all cultures.”

The Institute of Science, Technology and Public Policy calls the result of thousands of people meditating together The Field Effect. “Over 600 scientific studies conducted in 33 countries and in over 250 independent research institutions overwhelmingly evidenced that synchronized group prayer and meditation have extremely positive social, political and economic benefits to the world.”

Think about the quality of energy that this election has provoked on both sides - a polarizing experience. While anger helps us by creating a boundary that separates us from the situation so we can see that we have choices, if we stay in that feeling, we give over our power to the situation or person in whose authority we believe. “Against energy” distracts us from realizing positive purpose. Mahatma Gandhi began with “non-violent protest” (“against energy,”) and eventually identified his movement as “Satyagraha,” which means “seek truth.” Seeking truth does not consider the opinions, power, or relationships with others but stands instead upon its own strength, its own voice. Gandhi believed that if he sought the truth as he knew it, justice as he understood it would prevail and his mission would be realized. (Mapping a New Reality, p99-100)

Call to Action: At 2pm ET on January 21, 2017, let’s make herstory by synchronizing loving intention for two minutes for our planet.

And remember Margaret Mead’s words: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.”
