Contrary to strong hints and rumors, the Rolling Stones will not perform at the 2013 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, a source close to the band tells Rolling Stone.

The evidence was overwhelming: the Indio, California festival appeared on the band's own official app in December under their tour dates section, and festival organizers later used their official Facebook page to post a photo of a stone rolling on the Empire Polo Grounds, where Coachella is held.

But expect to still see the band on the road in 2013. "There have been quite a few offers," Mick Jagger told us recently after wrapping the bands recent 50th anniversary shows in London, New York and New Jersey. "I'm going to see what's on the table and discuss it with everyone. We'll announce it when we've figured it out." Added Keith Richards, "Really, all you're going to have to do is wait for an announcement . . . We barely got off the starting blocks. It would be dopey to bring things up to this level and say, 'Well, that's that, 50 years, bye-bye.'"
