It's no wonder Questlove and Black Thought of The Roots describe their time at the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts as "really like 'Fame.'" Among their classmates was the group that would become Boyz II Men, who were rivals of the future Roots in the school's annual "Sentimental Journey" talent show.

But during a conversation with HuffPost Live's Marc Lamont Hill about their partnership with Kellogg's, The Roots said it was not exactly a fair competition.
