The South China Sea Controversy: Solved - the author responds

Thanks to the firestorm of comments provoked by my recent article, "The South China Sea Controversy: solved," I am toying with the idea of submitting my proposal to the Taiwanese government.

However, there is one point that needs to be cleared up. I am not "tacitly" advocating the possession of Taiwan by the PRC. I don't do anything "tacitly." If I were to share my opinions, I would not do so "tacitly."

In fact, I believe that it is not in the best interests of a news correspondent to be "tacit" about anything. Being "tacit" has no room in the war chest of the journalist.

I was simply stating that China makes a public claim to the island of Taiwan. It also makes a claim to the artificial islands it is constructing.

Very well.
