While fashion month seems like a grueling four weeks for editors and buyers, it's perhaps most exhausting for the models. On top of all the travel, these hard-working ladies also face early call times and late-night fittings -- making sleep but a distant memory for most. Needless to say, it takes a special breed of model to walk dozens of shows per year, but the ones who can pull off the impressive feat hold a special place in the business for seasons to come.

So, who was this year's top catwalker? Following the end of Paris Fashion Week, we tasked ourselves (with a little help from Models.com) to narrow down the top models of the season-- a list that is based on the sheer number of shows the model walked from start to finish.

5. Harleth Kuusik (Tie)
Agency: The Society Management
Number of Shows Walked: 51
This is the second season for the 17-year-old Estonian, whose bleach blonde hair and icy blue eyes could be seen walking for such designers as Proenza Schouler, Givenchy, Miu Miu, Valentino, Prada, Jason Wu and Louis Vuitton.

5. Maja Salamon (Tie)
Agency: NEXT Model Management
Number of Shows Walked: 51
After taking New York by storm last month, the Polish model managed to rack up a number of impressive runway slots this season including appearances for Oscar de la Renta, Dior, Louis Vuitton and Kenzo among others.

5. Julia Bergshoeff (Tie)
Agency: DNA Models
Number of Shows Walked: 51
Though still finishing school in her native Papendrecht, Netherlands, the 17-year-old model managed to walk in a total of 51 shows including opening Sarah Burton's Alexander McQueen show and closing for Coach, Proenza Schouler, Burberry and Giambattista Valli.

4. Lexi Boling
Agency: Ford Models
Number of Shows Walked: 52
After walking a total of 24 shows in New York, the 17-year-old American stunner continued her streak opening and closing Tom Ford in addition to appearing in shows for Celine, Givenchy, Alexander Wang, Miu Miu, Prada and Chanel.

3. Waleska Gorczevski

Number of Shows Walked: 61
Since getting her start as a Dior couture exclusive in spring 2014, the 17-year-old Brazilian has continued her quest for runway domination by making runway appearances at Chanel, Jil Sander, Proenza Schouler, Chloe and Fendi, while also closing Dior in Paris.

2. Alexandra Elizabeth Ljadov

Number of Shows Walked: 63
After making her catwalk debut for Proenza Schouler in New York last season, the 17-year-old Estonian model went on to complete a full show circuit that included such highlights as opening Vionnet, closing Carven, and walking for such heavy hitters as Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace and Calvin Klein among others.

1. Maartje Verhoef
Agency: Women Management
Number of Shows Walked: 66
With 66 shows, the 17-year-old Dutch native was the hardest-working model of the season --opening in New York for Donna Karan, closing Ralph Lauren and Victoria Beckham and walking for pretty much every major fashion house thereafter.
