Anti-immigrant rhetoric has heated up considerably during the current primary election race, particularly as a result of Republican candidates Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio. Common right-wing themes around undocumented immigration include framing immigrants, particularly undocumented immigrants, as violent criminals, as well as making hare-brained economic arguments surrounding the "taking" of jobs and the "drain" on the country's economy.
