Don’t blame your faults on love nor on loneliness, or even emotions at that. You see, the two are locked away in their cages waiting to be let out for a walk; only the thing is, love and loneliness sometimes get too close together. In some rare cases, when you let love and loneliness share a cage, they get too attached to each other and when you let them out after a long stressful day, you get overwhelmed by these two simple, yet heavy feelings.

Some people tend to care so much more about love compared to loneliness that when it’s loneliness’ turn to come out after love has gone away for the day, they just don’t know how to handle any stresses brought on by loneliness. The same goes for after a long day with loneliness, some people just don’t know what to do when love comes out to play. This confusion is normal, so it’s okay to feel a little lost and confused in these transitions.

Love is always there locked inside you, you just have to be ready to let it out when it’s time. If you’re going for a walk in the park and you see someone new in the gardens you can’t let love go and drag your life in a rambunctious rollercoaster of embarrassment there in the park. You have to be able to tell when it is okay for your love to shine, when it is okay for your love to grow, and when it is time for your love to end. Without knowing, you will always be stuck running in the same circles, over and over again, trying to see why your happiness is stuck elsewhere. You see, love is always going to stick around to help you when you need it. When you witness or perform, random acts of kindness, love will be there to share the moment with you. When loneliness is toying with you, love will always be there to remind you that you are alive and you are amazing, always. Love will still be there when no one else is. Love is a gift. Everyone has their own preferences when it comes to love and loving but there is no person who doesn’t love at least one thing; even if they choose to only love loneliness. No matter what you have been through or what you dream to accomplish you have to remember that love is all things that matter in life. It can start a relationship, it will create happiness, it will create hobbies and keep you well rounded.

On the other hand, loneliness will always be around the corner ready to check up on you at any given moment. There’s no need to fear loneliness though, remember it is a close friend to love and independence; you just have to learn to embrace these feelings when loneliness jumps on its soapbox, stealing your spotlight. It is true that loneliness can try to overshadow love from time to time, this is normal too don’t you worry. We don’t have to let love in when we don’t need it. But sometimes when love is needed of us, it just cannot light the way, thus inviting loneliness to be the comfort you need, whether you want it or not. This is not an easy fix and you do really need to try but when you try to replace that loneliness with love, you open your eyes to a whole new world. A world full of new opportunities, a world full of excitement, a world full of adventure, and a world you are happy to live in. Once you can accomplish that it seems to make your life better and all together you become a well rounded positive person who looks for the love in the things you do instead of doing it for the sake of loneliness.

Yes, love and loneliness are very similar… and tend to clash within personalities, remember the difference between the two, remember how happy and positive you can and will feel when you use them with the right balance of powers.

Sam Harris once said “everything we do is for the purpose of altering consciousness. We form friendships so that we can feel certain emotions, like love, and avoid others, like loneliness. We eat specific foods to enjoy their fleeting presence on our tongues. We read for the pleasure of thinking another person’s thoughts.” That quote always has me thinking; thinking about life in general, thinking about personalities and initially what makes the world go around. Everything we do has a purpose and every move we make impacts our next decision, so when we use love in the proper way rather than using loneliness, we can decide our own positive future, rather than the negative one that gets decided for us. Your first step is to decide if you want to start that journey, the choice is yours!
