Looking for a fun weekend getaway with friends! Remember that Las Vegas has everything you need for an amazing adventure! This article originally appeared on The Taylor House.

Where to Stay in Las Vegas

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

The Cosmopolitan is a unique luxury resort hotel and casino in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. When we first arrived at the Cosmo we were greeted right away and directed to the front desk for a quick check-in and were off to our rooms.

Our room had a breathtaking skyline view but my favorite part of the room was the shower! It had a beautiful floor to ceiling glass window that allowed you to watch tv while you shower! The beds were extremely comfortable and they were topped with down pillows and comforter.

The Cosmopolitan has so many amazing restaurants on site so you can stay, play and eat all in one location. Two of our three nights were spent enjoying the world-class chefs and the amazing food they had on the menus.

Don't forget to book some time at the Sahra Spa & Hammam for a completely unforgettable luxury experience!

Where to Eat in Las Vegas

Giada at The Cromwell - This charming Las Vegas restaurant welcomes diners with warm colors, comfortable furniture, and natural lighting thanks to the restaurant’s huge retractable windows. Guests can eat in the dining room or lounge boasting breathtaking views of the Bellagio fountains and Caesars Palace.

I loved this restaurant, being a huge Food Network and Giada fan! Having the chance to try some of Giada's favorite dishes prepared by some amazing chef's was a huge thrill. I love the lemon spaghetti and cannot wait to try making it myself!

Scarpetta - One of our favorite places to eat at The Cosmopolitan was Scarpetta. It's an Italian restaurant that overlooks beautiful fountains. A couple of the favorite dishes that were ordered at our table were the Short Ribs, Pork Chop, and the Salmon! This is a MUST try restaurant!

STK - is a new-style Las Vegas steakhouse from The One Group and Executive Chef Stephen Hopcraft. STK features a bustling bar scene, an inspired menu, and a relaxed dining atmosphere with a sexy vibe created by the in-house DJ.

With locations in New York City, Miami and Los Angeles, STK is a Las Vegas celebrity hotspot that breaks with tradition, offering a flirty take on the classic American steakhouse.

The steak is obviously to die for, I had the Filet Medalion and it melted in my mouth. Top it was a truffle butter for an amazing dinner you will never forget. The sides are family style, we ordered 5 for our table of 7 people and had plenty for everyone. Don't leave for the night without trying the lemon blueberry cheesecake. YUM!!

EggSlut - Eggslut is a chef-driven, gourmet food concept founded in 2011. It's inspired by a true love for eggs. The menu is a balance of comfort and innovation, celebrating food that appeals to both novice and extreme foodie through classic comfort fare with a twist, all-encompassing our key ingredient, eggs.

The Eggslut is located in The Cosmopolitan hotel, and the line is long in the morning but it's worth the wait!

Where to Play in Las Vegas

There are so many different shows you can see in Las Vegas and trying to pick one can be overwhelming. We've seen so many over the years including The Blue Man Group, Cirque Du Soleil, and this year we went to Criss Angel Mindfreak. All of the shows have been fabulous and this year was no different.

Based on Angel’s breakout hit TV show, MINDFREAK, which smashed records and counted an audience of more than 100 million viewers in each of its six seasons on A&E, MINDFREAK® LIVE! will showcase 90-minutes of the most spectacular, original and revolutionary illusions ever performed on stage.

Miracle Mile Shops - If you're like me and are in Las Vegas for the food and shows, you'll probably be looking for something to do during the day. Don't worry because there is some amazing shopping! We hit Miracle Mile Shops every day we were there and spend several hours shopping while the guys were playing Black Jack and watching football games. It's conveniently located across the strip from The Cosmopolitan so it was easy to get to.

Is Las Vegas a trip that's been on your bucket list? These are just a few of the places to eat and things to do but after several trips to Vegas, I can honestly say that it was my favorite trip!
