I know that I began my last recap of "The Vampire Diaries" with "Oh my god," but... oh my god. I guess it pays to be patient, because the epic Delena moment that we've all being waiting for finally happened. Damon told Elena how he felt about her -- and then he kissed her!

Let's just relive this moment in "Vampire Diaries" history, shall we?

After a brotherly rumble, one that obviously involved some playful staking, Stefan tells his brother the truth about why he saved Klaus.

Damon then tells Elena the real reason why Stefan sabotaged their plan to kill Klaus. As we know, Stefan was trying to save Damon, because if he had gone through with his plan, Klaus would have ordered his hybrids to kill Damon. So Stefan saves Damon.

But what does Damon do to repay his baby brother? He tells Elena how he feels about her. Of course, he feels guilty about it, so he won't press it any further. That is, until this happened:

"If I'm going to feel guilty about something, I'm going to feel guilty about this."

Cue the super sweet and incredibly adorable Delena kiss that we've all been waiting for. It was a magical moment indeed, but Elena didn't seem as into it as she should have been. What happened to saying goodbye to your ghosts, Elena?

Meanwhile, Stefan's got a few very important coffins to hide. Thankfully, he knows a witch who might be able to help. Bonnie has one of her infamous dreams, where she sees four coffins, one of which held Klaus, who happened to be clutching the necklace of his mother -- the Original witch.

Bonnie then goes to the place she saw in her dream, which didn't really scream "safe" to me, but a witch has to do what a witch has to do. And who does she find while she's there? None other than the elusive vamp Stefan, who's been M.I.A. since he stole Klaus' family.

(Side note: Does anyone else want Elijah to show up sometime soon? Sure, Klaus and Rebekah are fun, but no one beats Elijah. I'm getting tired of waiting, but something tells me that the coffin Bonnie is drawn to is Elijah's. Or at least that's what I'm telling myself to make this wait easier on my Elijah-loving heart.)

Stefan needs Bonnie's help. I mean, how else is he going to hide the body of four Originals without a witch's help? But the real question here is whether or not Bonnie is strong enough to hide the Originals from Klaus. I'm not so sure.

Thankfully, the fate of Stefan's plan doesn't rest on Bonnie's witchy soldiers alone. She has the help of some very powerful witches. It just so happens that Stefan's secret hiding spot is an old, run-down house, guarded by some very powerful witches, who aren't very fond of vamps.

Now, if only Elena were on the same page. Elena makes a deal with Klaus: his sister, Barbie Klaus, for her brother. After showing Klaus to Rebekah's body, Klaus de-daggers her, "promising" Elena that he can control his sister's urge for payback.

Unfortunately, for Klaus, he wasn't aware that Rebekah knew his dirty little secret, so he daggers her again before she can awaken. But wait, are those tears in Klaus' eyes? Even though Klaus is a villain, it's hard not to feel for him. Throughout his entire existence he's been searching for acceptance and love. His mother rejected him, his father hated him and now his only family has been taken by Stefan.

But don't worry Barbie Klaus fans. I can't wait for the epic Klaus vs. Klaus showdown. Rebekah isn't the smartest, but she can get catty if she needs to, and something tells me that she won't be down for long.

Meanwhile, over in the Salvatore mansion, Klaus pays Damon a visit, and the two share some much-needed vampy bro time, kicking back drinks and comparing tales of sibling woe. But then things turn deadly when Damon refuses to tell Klaus what he wants, so the evil hybrid turns to violence to give Elena a warning: help me get what I want or I'll kill your brother.

Thankfully, Alaric saves the day after Klaus compelled Jeremy to stand in front of a speeding car. Alaric definitely gets points in my book for that heroic move.

Can Tyler break free of Klaus' control? He is sired, after all. He's not too keen on Klaus' plan to kill off Jeremy, but it's not like he has a choice... or does he? Hopefully, in future episodes we'll get to see more of Tyler's conflict. Could a hybrid uprising, led by Tyler, be on the horizon? As tragic as it would be to see Klaus' only "friends" turn on him, it would also be pretty epic.

And then there's Jeremy. After being compelled by Klaus and nearly dying, he's so had it with Mystic Falls. He's carrying a crossbow, chopping off hybrid heads with meat cleavers and breaking off ties with his best friends. Jeremy's life is anything but normal, so Elena does what she has to do as an older sister: she asks Damon to compel Jeremy to leave Mystic Falls behind forever.

It's a heartbreaking scene. Since Season 1, Elena and Jeremy have always had each other. And even though Jeremy hasn't had the best year -- losing the girl he loved, having to say goodbye to her ghost, etc. -- I'm still pretty sad to see him go. Here's hoping he isn't gone for too long.

Next week things heat up between Klaus and Damon, as the hybrid is still on the hunt for his family, and he's going to use whatever means necessary to find them, even if that means launching his hybrid army into attack. Maybe it's a good thing Jeremy left Mystic Falls after all.

Quotables:

Damon, to Klaus: "Cute, blonde bombshell, psycho? Shouldn't be that hard to find."

Elena, to Klaus: "That sounds like a Klaus and Stefan problem." Um, hasn't the entire season been a Klaus and Stefan problem?

Stefan, to Bonnie: "His family is his one weakness. If I have them, then it will ruin him."

Damon, to Stefan: "That's the thing with siblings. You never know what they're going to do." Well, isn't that the truth.

Damon, being Damon: "Such a buzzkill, my baby bro."

Damon, once again being Damon: "So all we have to do is find four coffins, and voilà, you and your family's Christmas lists are still alive!"

Jeremy's so-called life: "None of us are going to make it out of this town alive."

Damon hates witches: "I hate witches. They're so fickle... They use their juju to screw with my daylight ring."

Stefan... being funny?: "Well, Bonnie sucks at keeping secrets, doesn't she?"

Jeremy's "Sunday Bloody Sunday": "I shot a hybrid in the back and chopped his head off with a meat cleaver. Typical Sunday, huh?"
