The Way of the Mysterial Woman: Upgrading How You Live, Love, and Lead
By Suzanne Anderson, MA and Susan Cannon PhD

No matter how I say this, I will sound like that annoying friend who is trying to sell you fake eyelashes or buttery leggings, but listen up, ladies, you HAVE GOT TO READ THIS BOOK. Ok, got that out of my system. Now let me make my case for why The Way of the Mysterial Woman is the most important book for women's well-being and empowerment since The Feminine Mystique woke up housewives across the country back in the 1950's.

If you have ever felt like you have talent or skills that are overlooked then this book is for you. If you have ever felt like you have the energy to move the world but you're bogged down by the obligations of family and career then this book is for you. If you are wandering through a phase in life trying to "find yourself" then this book is for you. If you feel like you are an agent of change but you don't know where to start then this book is for you.

By blending ancient wisdom and modern psychology, this hands-on manual delivers practical guidance on how to develop leadership skills for women. This book could easily be a roadmap toward gender equality, women's rights, and personal development for women everywhere for it requires us to look within ourselves to identify goals and dreams, to answer to a call for leadership, and to work with grit and tenacity in a remarkably efficient way to make our dreams happen.

This is not your mama's self help book. There is no boo-hooing into a tissue while you sit in an armchair and recount your weaknesses. This book will ask you to dig deep and pull yourself up. You will learn to recode your thinking and be inspired to not just pull yourself up, but to use the leadership tools within these pages to help women around you as well.

A few years ago I found myself trying to figure out what on earth I had to offer the world. So, thinking I was making classically smart choices, I blew an obscene amount of money to go to grad school, which ultimately was a total waste of time. I left that institution feeling just as lost as when I went in. Fast-forward to two months ago when my friend sent me an advanced reader copy of this book and suddenly my mind was blown. I found that magical thing - that missing link - to figuring out my creative and self worth and how to use that in meaningful ways both in my career and family.

The writers of the book, Suzanne Anderson, MA and Susan Cannon, PhD are not your typical self-help writers. Together they have years of professional and academic experience studying and developing women's leadership, which includes a certificate program where they train women to become powerhouse agents of change. They have taken the best parts of their research and experience and have distilled it into this groundbreaking book.

If you want to be a part of the women's rights revolution then this book is where you need to start. Dog ear the pages, underline the ah-ha moments, and tell your friends.

After all, in the immortal words of Beyoncé, who runs the world? Girls!
