The fashion climate for 2009 was a frosty one, and we're not just saying that because New York recently endured its first blizzard of the season. With a slew of labels closing, creative directors being ousted from their perches, and a perpetual game of musical chairs being played among the higher ups in the industry, designers became more cautious. And while many focused on their strengths and turned out some of the tightest and most well-edited collections of their careers, 2009 was also laden with style slip-ups. It's here that we'd like to zero in on some of these colossal blunders, so cue to excessive 80's influences, harem pants, denim shredded beyond recognition, bandage dress overload, Jon Gosselin's penchant for Ed Hardy, pantlessness, killer shoewear, and a celebrity hankering for bunny ears.
