'The X Factor' Voting Glitch: Graphics Displayed Wrong Numbers

Major 'X Factor' Glitch Causes Voting Headache

An "X Factor" glitch caused a bit of a headache for the Fox series. According to Deadline, the wrong numbers were displayed on screen during the performance recap and the public voting results from the Wednesday, Nov. 6 show will not count.

Fox will remedy the situation with a re-vote on the Thursday, Nov. 7 show. The Top 13 "X Factor" acts will sing their save me songs. The first live results show will now be next Wednesday, Nov. 13. Another act will be sent home on the Thursday, Nov. 14 show as well.

Series creator and judge Simon Cowell took to Twitter to address the problem.

"There was an issue so everyone has to sing their save me song live tomorrow and America will vote on that performance," he tweeted. "Mistakes happen. But now I have 24 hours to prepare my groups for tomorrow night. Let's hope they all deliver. Now they will understand what pressure means. It's happened once before. It's live tv. You have to deal with it, tough for the contestants though. But you have to dig deep and deliver."

"The X Factor" airs Wednesdays and Thursdays, 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
