'The X Factor' Semifinals: Shocking Upset As Final Three Acts Revealed (VIDEO)

'The X Factor' Semifinals Results: Shocking Upset

There was a shocker on the semifinals results episode of "The X Factor." The rankings last week saw Fifth Harmony clearly in last place in the public vote. But this week, they pulled off an upset and secured the first of three spots in next week's finale.

The other two predictably went to the acts that have juggled the top two spots all season long: country crooner Tate Stevens and 13-year-old phenom Carly Rose Sonenclar. That left the popular boy band Emblem3 at the bottom and out of the competition.

But Simon Cowell predicted big things for them in the future, and the guys were gracious in elimination. They'd already declared that what they'd learned already from the show was far more valuable than that $5 million record contract.

The other three acts will fight for it in next week's finale, Wednesday and Thursday at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
