The time when employees stayed at a company for 10, 15, 20+ years -- literally developing a long-term relationship with that company -- is dead. Long gone is the idea of job security as well. The average employee tenure today across the board -- no matter how old you are -- is just under five years. For Millennials it's just under three years. In this episode of The Future in 5, I explore how organizations can address the shrinking employee tenure. I also discuss the most practical scalable approach, sharing how this looks and what some companies are creating. Of course, this ties into freelancers and how some companies are creating their own type of marketplaces within their organizations, which I'll cover in more detail in future episodes. In the meantime, I'm curious to hear what you think.
