We often see freedom as one's ability to move freely. However, we should consider the true essence of FREEDOM! Living in a free society, I once thought that I was able to do as I pleased, live as I pleased and say what I pleased, as long as I did not infringe on others. I have come to the realization that true freedom, is the ability to live without fear. Bondage to one's mind can keep that person in a state of anxiety and or depression. The indulging of our egos can keep us looking for the approval of others. Nevertheless, true freedom for me is to live fearlessly staring from my inner woman.
When we live in a state of panic there is no peace. And where there is no peace, there is no faith, thus removing our state of freedom. So, how do we get it back? It begins by connecting with our higher power and gaining clarity regarding the necessary steps for our lives to count for something greater than ourselves. Having faith in real change, starts with us changing how we view life. No longer can we depend on society, family or careers to bring value to our lives. We must begin to see our own value, and then bring value to the lives of others.
True freedom allows life to reveal the true purpose of our existence. Furthermore, there is always freedom when living in our purpose. Having the freedom to say, I refuse to be unlovable, invites in love. Having the courage to see humanity as more than a mere pastime, invites the development of true friendships. Seeing our existence in the grand scheme of life allows humility to keep us grounded. This is where true freedom lives and thrives. So the question is, are we truly free? If not, let's take our freedom now.
