The meal delivery service pulled data to find the trendiest tacos in AmericaCinco de Mayo is right around the corner, and if you’re not going out to celebrate, you might as well order in and enjoy the holiday at home. Although tequila is a Cinco de Mayo favorite, there's another treat whose popularity tends to spike on the holiday: tacos.

According to Grubhub, certain types of tacos enjoy a bigger Cinco de Mayo surge than others, with barbacoa soft tacos orders in the lead, seeing a 954 percent spike in orders across America on Cinco de Mayo. The second trendiest taco nationwide is beef tacos with an 858 percent spike, followed by cecina aged beef tacos at 836 percent. Orders for both marinated pork and pineapple tacos and shrimp ceviche tacos jump by 602 percent on May 5.
Overall, the meal delivery service found that the number of taco orders rose by 118 percent on the holiday, and have continued to rise in popularity by 48 percent annually. However, the city that seems to have the most taco lovers on Cinco de Mayo is San Diego, racking in 147 percent more orders during the holiday.
