Breakfast tacos are an Austin institution, and Paco’s serves some of the most reliably great ones in the city. The place is known for being open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and serving breakfast all day. This means that at any time, you can opt for the Hook ‘Em breakfast taco (ever popular among Longhorn fans), which includes smoked brisket, chipotle BBQ sauce, freshly made coleslaw and cilantro; or the Breakfast Gordita, a tortilla pocket filled with spiced potatoes, bacon and soft scrambled eggs.
On top of the creativity of the menu, everything at this mother-and-daughter-run spot is made fresh, including the tortillas — a hybrid of flour and corn that has the softness of the former and the earthiness of the latter — and the salsas (there are seven of them!). You can even build your own breakfast taco.
