They Finally Did Something Cool To Spider-Man's Suit After All Those Movies

The wind beneath Spidey's wings.

After five solo movies and an all-too-brief appearance in “Captain America: Civil War,” spread over three different series (not to mention a Broadway show we shall never speak of again), it looks like Spider-Man and his suit are finally getting an update.

A short teaser for the first movie to spotlight the web-slinger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Spider-Man: Homecoming” starring Tom Holland, has surfaced online ahead of the full trailer’s release on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Thursday night.

In 17 blissful seconds, we learn three things:

1) Harold “Happy” Hogan (Jon Favreau) makes his welcome return to the Marvel universe.

2) Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is responsible for a “minor upgrade” to the classic suit.

3) The new Spidey suit is winged. We repeat: WINGED!

And here we thought that Zendaya cast in the role of Mary Jane was the only thing to be excited about.

”Spider-Man: Homecoming” will hit theaters July 7.
