Thieves Raid ATMs After Blasting Hole In Bank's Wall

A Virginia bank has become a bit of a hole in the wall after ATM thieves blasted their way in from an adjacent storefront.

In what sounds like a heist ripped from the movies, crooks broke into a vacant business next door to the Navy Federal Credit Union in Woodbridge between 8:10 p.m. on Dec. 24 and 2:08 p.m. on Dec. 25, InsideNova reports.

Using unknown means, the crooks then blasted a hole in the store's wall.

Once inside, the thieves disabled the bank's alarm system and surveillance cameras, then cleaned out its two ATMs, according to MyFoxDC.

Since the heist, a sign on the bank's window has turned customers away, reportedly telling account-holders that the branch is closed due to a communications problem with the corporate office.
