A new video from The Social Renaissance Project, an Outspeak partner, is taking a comedic look at some of the cliche ― and oftentimes frustrating ― questions and comments that lesbian and queer-identified women get about their lives and identities.

From invasive questions about the logistics of lesbian sex to insensitive comments like “you don’t look gay,” queer women can be routinely subjected to these silly or inappropriate conversations.

“I want people to take away the fact that you can’t just say things without thinking and without understanding that your words have power; in good ways and bad ways,” Joshua Walker, the project’s Director, told The Huffington Post. “Assuming that someone automatically fits into a stereotype simply because of what they identify with is doing a disservice to you and to that person. We also want people to understand and come to appreciate the diversity within the LGBT community. We really want people to watch this and think, wow, I really hope I don’t say things like this to the lesbians in my life.”
