Things Smaller Than Apple: The Retail Meat Industry, 2 Space Programs And More (INFOGRAPHIC)

It's been a boom year for Apple.

In August, Apple briefly overtook Exxon as the world's most valuable company. In October, the tech behemoth flirted with a $370 billion market cap, an estimate of the total value of the company.

How big is $370 billion? Visual.ly, a data visualization company, has put together an infographic illustrating Apple's enormity.

According to Visual.ly's research, things smaller than Apple include the U.S. retail meat industry, the cost of the Apollo and space shuttle programs, and the U.S. pharmaceutical market (Learn more about where Visual.ly's data come from here). Though Apple's market cap has since dropped to around $343 billion, the comparisons are still entertaining and many of them are still valid.
