What: Muppets fans: step back in time and marvel puppetry's groundbreaking films. American Cinematheque presents an adventure into Muppets creator Jim Henson's imagination with two of his most fantastical films, "The Dark Crystal" and "The Labyrinth."

Eileen Myles Reading
What: Beloved poet Eileen Myles is coming Friday to Human Resources' intimate setting to read from her latest poetry book, "Snowflake." On Saturday, you can take a hike with her, in collaboration with the CalArts Poetry Collective. She will read some of her poems aloud when the group reaches the top of the hill.

Blessing of the Animals
What: Cows, goats, horses, ducks, turtles, giant snakes, cats and dogs! They've been getting dressed up (literally) and getting blessed at Olvera Street on the day before Easter since 1930. Come bring your beastie and enjoy the historic festivities!

When Art Explodes
What: Artist Cai Guo-Qiang is famous for his gunpowder drawings. So, appropriately, he's kicking off his MOCA exhibition, Sky Ladder, with an explosion. At the opening reception Friday, he will ignite 40,000 (!) firework rockets!

"Muchos Kstew"
What: An entire art show devoted solely to images of "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart? Yes, that's right. It's clearly an ironic mock-fest, as host Meltdown Comics writes, "Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a mysterious young woman and stare at her face until it all makes sense." There will even be KStew-themed cocktails and other treats.

Eat for Easter!

Giant Bunnies
What: What better way to celebrate Easter than to watch totally creepy films about giant lurking bunnies? First, "Harvey," about a man whose best friend is a 6-foot-3-inch invisible rabbit. And then, "Donnie Darko" (trailer below), in which Jake Gyllenhaal can't help but do what his big bunny friend tells him to.
