Third Metric: How Arianna Huffington And Mika Brzezinski Decided To Redefine Success

How did two women come together to build an event that's all about creating a more holistic, more humane view of success? One that takes into account things like wisdom, well-being and maintaining a sense of wonder? Organically, of course.

HuffPost's first-ever women's conference, "The Third Metric: Redefining Success Beyond Money & Power," took place Thursday at Arianna Huffington's apartment (much to the awe of co-host Mika Brzezinski) after a string of conversations the duo had about what success should really mean. They gathered a group of female leaders -- and a few good men -- to talk about a new, more sustainable model of success.

"We decided to open up the conversation," Huffington said.

"It was so rich," Brzezinski agreed.
