True story: I have such a difficult time reinserting my comforter into its duvet cover that I prolong washing it until a catastrophic event (a nosebleed, projectile baby vomit, etc.) forces my hand. And when said hand is forced and I actually do wash it, the process of putting it back together always leaves me profusely sweating and, somehow, inside the duvet cover myself along with the comforter. But the Internet gods have unearthed a bedding angel — in the form of Inhabitat editor Yuka Yoneda—sent here to make the entire duvet cover process as easy as rolling a burrito. Read on for this easy, life-changing, step-by-step duvet cover hack, and never dread the chore again. (They had me at burrito, TBH.)

Step 1: Lay the duvet cover inside out on your bed with the opening at the bottom.

Step 2: Place the comforter on top.

Step 3: Make sure all the corners are aligned.

Step 4: Now for the burrito part: Starting at the head of your bed, roll your duvet cover and comforter up like a burrito.

Step 5: This is the trickiest step of the bunch — and it’s not even that tricky! When you get to the end of your bed, reach into the opening of your duvet cover and flip it over one end of your burrito, exposing the right side of your duvet cover.

Step 6: Repeat on the other side.

Step 7: Repeat in the middle.

Step 8: Now simply unroll your bedding burrito back up toward the top of your bed.

Step 9: And you're done!

Bonus: When you need to remove your duvet cover to wash it, you can reverse these steps for a just-as-easy removal. As if we needed one more reason to love burritos — either the bedding version or the real kind — that much more.
