When I went to Chicago this past weekend, mainly to see the Blackhawks play, HuffPost colleague Kim Bellware treated me to a tour of the most elaborate pharmacy store I've ever seen in my life. I'm sure you'll agree.
Meet... a Walgreens in Chicago. It's located at the old Noel State Bank building, as explained here, a 1919 construction that is also a registered Chicago Landmark. That's at 1601 North Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago.
You can tell it used to be a bank too. The pictures that follow speak for themselves. Enjoy.
Its vitamins are in a vault
The ceiling looks like this
This guy is pretty excited about being there
The whole facility is super upscale
Even the basement looks nice
Now is it necessary? That's debatable. But you have to admit it looks nice, eh?
