This 'Stranger Things' And 'Peanuts' Mashup Is An Instant Holiday Classic

Good grief, this is amazing.

“Peanuts” is about to get a lot “stranger.”

In the ultimate nostalgic mashup, someone has finally combined “Stranger Things” and “Peanuts” into an animated holiday short.

The video, created by Leigh Lahav and Oren Mendez, reimagines the classic “A Charlie Brown Christmas” with characters from the popular Netflix series. Will Byers, feeling blue since coming back from the Upside Down, takes the place of Charlie Brown; Eleven gets Lucy’s psychiatric booth; the Demogorgon makes an appearance; and Mike plays a very familiar song on the piano.

Why? Because it had to happen.

With an episode called “The Pumpkin Patch,” Season 2 of “Stranger Things” could easily involve some “Peanuts”-inspired jokes. (Remember, Linus is constantly looking for The Great Pumpkin.) Plus, the nostalgia factor was key to making the ‘80s-inspired series a hit on Netflix, and TV doesn’t get more nostalgic than Charlie Brown and the gang.

This just makes sense. And, good grief, it’s amazing.

If you still have questions, just remember what Byers’ mom, Joyce (Winona Ryder), would say: “Wah, wah, wah.” Truly words to live by.
