Let me tell you what entrepreneurs should not think really hard about in 2017: who is president. Of all the factors that could determine one's success, if you think who sits in the Oval Office is the key, you're deluding yourself.
The quality of your product or service, the way you support it, and how fast you enhance it are a thousand times more important than who's president, who runs Congress, and who's on the Supreme Court.
Here's what you should not only think hard about but do:
- Getting a prototype to market. All the other stuff goes away when you ship.
- Building a social-media platform. Social media is the best thing that ever happened to entrepreneurs because it's fast, free, and ubiquitous marketing.
- Hiring people who are better than you in their functional areas. If you're the best at every function, you're surrounded by losers.
That's "all" you need to do. The rest will follow.
