Thrillist BBQ And The Blues: Inside One Of South Beach Wine And Food Festival's Best Parties (PHOTOS)

Inside Thrillist's 'BBQ And The Blues'

You'll never hear a complaint out of us about the South Beach Wine and Food Fest, but we will say it was really nice to get out of a tent on the sand and into one of the weekend's best -- and sauciest -- parties.

Iron Chef Michael Symon helped Thrillist host its annual 'BBQ and The Blues' bash in the Eden Roc Resort's oceanfront backyard, and from the cool breeze to melty cheese it was nothing short of a really great time. Barbecue-inspired small plates passed under a starry sky and whisky flowed like milk and honey in concoctions from a blackberry collins to a rosemary-sprigged punch. And while hundreds of revelers enjoyed some succulent, meaty goodness, local rockers Diablo Dimes & The Bloodhounds were a huge draw in their spot next to the bar.

What made it great? The slew of local chefs, of course, but also room to move, an open sky, and plenty of seating for those (okay, all) who got full.

Participating chefs:
Michael Symon (Host), Paula DaSilva (1500°), Howie Kleinberg (Bulldog Barbecue), Mario Morejon (Cabana Beach Club), Tom Azar (City Hall), Jeremiah Bullfrog (gastroPod Miami), Eli Jackson (Hogzilla's Inspired Barbecue), Sean Brasel (Meat Market), Kevin Kehoe & Hans Seitz (Sparky's Roadside Barbecue), Timon Balloo (SUGARCANE raw bar grill), Michael Bloise (SUSHISAMBA Dromo), Miguel Aguilar (Wynwood Kitchen & Bar), and Michael Reidt (Area 31).
