Chris Carney, husband of "Sonny with a Chance" actress Tiffany Thornton, died Friday morning, according to TMZ. The 35-year-old was killed in a car accident in Arkansas along with another victim, Ezekiel Blanton.

Carney, formerly of the band Prom Kings, married Disney star Thornton in 2011. The couple had two children together, Kenneth James Carney and Bentley Cash Carney. The Arkansas Times said that Thornton is a morning radio show host in Hot Springs while Carney worked as a probation officer.

E! News said that Demi Lovato, who also starred on "Sonny with a Chance" and is friends with Thornton, attended the couple's 2011 wedding with her boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama. Valderamma is apparently the godfather of Thornton and Carney's son, Kenneth James.

Lovato tweeted out "This isn't real" earlier Friday, but has yet to comment on Carney's death.

Actor Evan Ross, son of Diana Ross, Instagrammed a photo of the family. "My heart hurts today," he wrote in the caption. "U will be missed #chriscarney!! I Love you KING!!!! Sending my love and prayers to this wonderful family @tiffthornton@gregcarneyfu And the whole family. I cant tell you how much you will be missed my brother."
