Just like a bad cold, Tila is never going to go away. After walking out on reality TV years ago, she's back with what she thinks is a total winner -- a brand-new single, "You Can Dance." But just because she's making the transition from the small screen to the studio doesn't mean she's trying to be the next Heidi Montag.
“I think that there’s still that group that knew that before 'Shot of Love,' they knew I did music first. So I am not looked at like Heidi Montag, etc. who did reality first and now are trying music,” Tequila tells me. “I think the Kardashians know what they are doing. I think that’s why they are so successful and they know that in order to live this lifestyle, you cannot have a real life. You have to love what you are doing and love to exploit yourself.”
And while Tequila admires Kim Kardashian's self-exploitation she refuses to exploit herself or allow others to exploit her -- that's why she walked away from her own reality show after two hit seasons.
“No amount of money or fame could ever get me to do that again because I was so unhappy," Tequila explained.
But like Paris Hilton and so many others, is she worried that her 15 minutes are up? “Not really,” she says. “Because what people in Hollywood don’t realize is they are so worried about what everyone else is thinking and, if their 15 minutes are up, they start to do drugs and have all this pressure. But I feel like I’m not going to let anyone else dictate my life because I am so fabulous, I don’t care what anyone else says."
