Tim Burton Balloon Revealed

Tim Burton's stitched-up, outcast of the balloon crowd made its way across Manhattan Thursday in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Burton first caught the attention of parade organizers after his retrospective at the MoMA museum in New York in 2010.

B. Boy, or Balloon Boy, comes with a Burton-esque backstory: He was scrapped together out of leftover balloons from children's parties at a hospital in London. Outcast from other children at the hospital because of his horrifying face and mangled teeth, B. Boy spends his days in the basement, watching Albert Lamorisse's "The Red Balloon" and dreaming of floating freely in the sky. Well, B. Boy, that day has come. We don't know how he broke free, but we hope this means he carved his way out of the basement with his mangled teeth. Run, B. Boy, run!
