Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are not only country music royalty, they’re two of the kindest people in show business.

The couple recently made a few Walmart shoppers’ holidays a little brighter in Baker County, Florida, when they paid off $5,000 worth of outstanding layaway purchases, according to TV station Action News Jax. The outlet reported that McGraw’s mother, Betty Trimble, was the one delivering the gifts and told a shopper she was playing Secret Santa.

Shopper Jessica Lumpkin shared a photo of a signed card and cash she got from the couple on Action News Jax’s Facebook page.

“I didn’t have anything on layaway, was just picking up a package and she gave me this. I’ve never had this happen to me. I’m glad I call Baker County my home,” Lumpkin wrote.

Below is a gallery of a few more shoppers’ reactions:

McGraw has a long history of giving back to the community. Since 2012, the singer has given away over 100 mortgage-free homes to veterans, with the help of Chase Bank and military nonprofit Operation Homefront.

Sounds like he takes the lyrics of his new song, “Humble and Kind,” to heart:
