Tim Tebow's TiVo Commercial: New York Jets QB Becomes Spokesman For DVR (VIDEO)

Tim TiVo? Tebow Puts Out Unintentionally Hilarious Commercial

Being relegated to the bench has given Tim Tebow plenty of time for side projects, so it was just a matter of time before he decided to make some money off of it.

The embattled backup New York Jets quarterback has put out a new commercial in which he announces his new role as a "brand ambassador" for TiVo. Though we don't doubt Tebow's sincerity, the ad does feature some unintentionally hilarious lines, given Tebow's notoriously unproductive arm and famous virginity.

In addition to referring to the brand-name DVR as a "magic box," Tebow offers this gem: "It's a player that can do more than one thing... which I respect."

According to USA Today, TiVo is donating $1 for each "like" on TiVo's official Facebook page (up to $25,000) to the Tim Tebow Foundation for children in need. The company will also feature a special Tim Tebow Zone on its DVR with programming recommendations from the quarterback.

Considering Tebow has more respect for TiVo as a player than some of his teammates seem to have for him, he might want to get comfortable shilling products long-term.
