As tired as the "what it's like to be a woman in comedy" conversation is, the industry's most well-known comedians still get asked about it, including Tina Fey.
In an interview with Town & Country, the comedy veteran mentioned that during her press run with Amy Poehler for the movie "Sisters," journalists still brought up the idea that some people don't believe women are funny. Fey said she and Poehler were also asked what they "fight about," after working together for so long.
"And we'd say, 'We fight about the same things Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg fight about. Do you ask them that question?'" she said.
Our guess? Probably not. Fey continued to keep it real when interviewers claimed that today women in comedy have it good, reminding them of the inequality women still face in the entertainment industry.
"Every single interviewer asked, 'Isn't this an amazing time for women in comedy?'" Fey said. "People really wanted us to be openly grateful -- 'Thank you so much!'-- and we were like, 'No, it's a terrible time. If you were to really look at it, the boys are still getting more money for a lot of garbage, while the ladies are hustling and doing amazing work for less.'"
