Tina Fey attended the Oscars on Sunday and she did not like (most of) what she saw.
In an interview with Howard Stern on Tuesday, Fey told the radio DJ how she really felt about all things Hollywood.
"I'm so glad I live here [in New York City], because halfway through [the Oscars], I was like, 'This is some real Hollywood bullshit.' Everyone's telling me what to do," Fey said. "People are yelling at me about rape and corporate greed, but really, it's climate change. I was like, 'Guys, pick a lane. Like we're going to fix everything tonight.' And also, like, 'You're all rich. Why are you yelling at me about corporate greed?'"
She's got a point. Leonardo DiCaprio, who turned his Oscar acceptance speech into a PSA about climate change, was another of Fey's main topics during her interview on Tuesday. But she wasn't too bugged by what he had to say.
"I always am psyched when someone is articulate with those things because, let's face it, actors are very stupid," Fey said of DiCaprio's speech. "But he's so smart and his speech was so cogent."
But when Stern tried to point out that DiCaprio, a notorious womanizer, should focus more on climate change instead of dating models, Fey shut him down.
"That doesn't affect the green footprint, no matter how many women you fuck," Fey said. "As long as you walk over to them."
Leo has been an easy target for Fey in the past, who made him blush at the 2014 Golden Globe awards by saying, "And now, like a supermodel's vagina, let's all give a warm welcome to Leonardo DiCaprio."
She stood up for "The Revenant" actor a second time, when Stern tried to accuse him of sleeping with supermodels in a "misogynistic way."
"Is it misogynistic to sleep with a bunch of women who want to sleep with you? No." Fey said, later adding, "I don't think it's misogynistic. I think everybody there is up for it, but also cause he's still cute."
But when it comes to the real "Hollywood bullshit" Fey really won't stand for, the comedian has been quick to point out the frozen faces and fake teeth she sees on the red carpet.
"There were people on the Globes in their 20s who were so Botoxed," the "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot" actress said in a recent interview with Town & Country. "In their 20s! We've been so conditioned now to never see a real human face, one that moves, with its original teeth. Sometimes we forget that there is a choice. I choose not to do this. It's like wearing multiple pairs of Spanx: Good for you, not for me. Not mandatory."
Fey got in trouble for wearing too many Spanx ("three or four layers," she said) during her goodbye bit for David Letterman's "Late Show" departure.
"[As] I crafted the bit, I didn't want people to think I was trying to look good," Fey told Town & Country. "And some people reacted by saying it was not good for women, because I wasn't fat enough under there," she said with a laugh. "You cannot win."
