TLC Planning To Release New Album

Should TLC Release New Album Without Left Eye?

It has been ten years since TLC released their last studio album, “3D” and the untimely death of group member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. Now it appears surviving members, Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, are eyeing a comeback album for the former trio.

BBC News reports that Watkins revealed the group’s forthcoming plans during this year’s annual Mobo Awards in addition to her thoughts on adapting to today’s music scene.

"We're going to still sound like TLC, evolving to whatever level we need to be at this time," she admitted."We've always grown throughout the years and have always had our own sound. That's what works for us and we don't have to worry about anybody else.”

“When that stops working, maybe we'll hang up the towel, but that still works,” she added. “We have to get into the studio and start feeling how we feel. You have to find yourself first and then you find the path and then you have an album before you know it."

Since the release of their platinum-selling 2002 opus, T-Boz and Chilli have both made stints at reality television with the short-lived UPN competition series, “R U the Girl” and VH1’s “What Chilli Wants.” No release date have been set for the as-yet-untitled project
