Tobey Maguire And Jennifer Meyer Separate After 9 Years Of Marriage

Tobey Maguire and his wife Jennifer Meyer are calling it quits, People reported on Tuesday. A representative for the actor also confirmed the news to The Huffington Post.

The “Seabiscuit” star and jewelry designer have been married for nine years and have two children together.

“After much soul searching and consideration we have made the decision to separate as a couple,” the two said in a statement to People. “As devoted parents, our first priority remains raising our children together with enduring love, respect and friendship.”

Maguire and Meyer started dating in 2003 and got engaged in 2006, the same year they welcomed their first child, daughter Ruby. The pair tied the knot the following year in Hawaii. In May 2007, Maguire and Meyer welcomed a son named Otis.

This news follows Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s shocking split in September. Jolie filed for divorce after two years of marriage and over a decade with Pitt.
