Tom Brokaw, Barbara Walters Reveal Their Flirtatious Past On 'The View' (VIDEO)

WATCH: Tom Brokaw, Barbara Walters Reveal Their Questionable Flirtation

Tom Brokaw and Barbara Walters were apparently quite flirtatious back in the day.

Brokaw appeared on "The View" Monday morning to promote his new book "The Times Of Our Lives," but first, he weighed in on the recent report that Herman Cain had been accused of sexual harassment in the 1990s while he was president of the National Restaurant Association.

Before seriously discussing the allegations, Brokaw took a moment to discuss the sexual harassment that occurred when he and Walters worked together at NBC in the 1970s. He described the environment as a "male-dominated locker room" and said that "a lot of stuff...went over the line and was...unacceptable."

Brokaw recalled his own behavior during that time. "I rarely passed through the halls in NBC without looking down and saying, 'you've got the best legs in the news business, Barbara,'" Brokaw said of "View" co-host Barbara Walters. He added that the two broadcasters have "known each other forever," and that today, his aforementioned comment could be considered over the line.

While Walters confirmed the contemporary inappropriateness of Brokaw's remark, she also said that her behavior at the time could be considered questionable today. "So I just have to say for full disclosure that for years, until he stopped me, I kept talking about how cute I thought Tom Brokaw was," Walters said.
