Tom Cruise Holds His Breath For 6 Minutes For 'Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation' Stunt

It's almost as impressive as that time he hung off a moving plane.

Tom Cruise is a serious adrenaline junkie.

In a behind-the-scenes video from "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" released by Access Hollywood, the actor, who's known for performing many of his own stunts, is shown holding his breath underwater for six minutes. Six minutes! That's impressive. (Almost as impressive as hanging off a moving plane.)

In the clip, Cruise explains that for the film, he had to show everyone that it was safe for him to hold his breath for a long period of time, then immerses himself in the water as his instructor leads him.

"Let's not freak people out too much," the coach says in the clip.
