Tom Florio Leaving Conde Nast: Vogue Publisher Latest To Jump Ship

ANOTHER High-Profile Vogue Departure

Vogue publisher Tom Florio is leaving Conde Nast after a 25-year career with the magazine company.

Florio told the Wall Street Journal that he wants to be a CEO.

"I want to be CEO of my own company," he said. "We already have a really good CEO."

In addition to Vogue, Florio oversaw a group of magazines including Bon Appetit and Conde Nast Traveler.

The company said he will not be replaced, and the publishers of the various magazines under him will now report to CEO Chuck Townsend.

Florio's departure is the latest in a string of high-profile departures from the fashion publication.

One of Vogue's top editors, Sally Singer, left the magazine last week to become Editor-in-Chief of T: The New York Times Style Magazine. And Patrick O'Connell, Vogue's director of communications, also jumped ship last week after 12 years at Vogue.
