See Tom Hanks In The Trailer For Steven Spielberg's 'Bridge Of Spies'

In Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg's latest collaboration, the actor is caught in the midst of Cold War paranoia.

In the new trailer for Spielberg's "Bridge of Spies," written by the Joel and Ethan Coen and Matt Charman, Hanks portrays James Donovan, a lawyer tasked with rescuing an American U-2 pilot shot down in the Soviet Union. Donovan is approached by the U.S. government to travel to East Berlin and negotiate an exchange: the captured pilot for an accused Soviet spy. If there's any man for the job, it's undoubtedly Hanks.

"Bridge of Spies" also stars Amy Ryan, Alan Alda, Austin Stowell, Mark Rylance and Eve Hewson. The film opens Oct. 16.
