Now that the nominations for the 2016 Emmy Awards have been announced, it’s time to speculate who might accompany the potential winners down the red carpet. Namely, one Tom Hiddleston.
On Thursday, the English actor was recognized for his performance in AMC’s critically hailed miniseries “The Night Manager,” which racked up five nods in the major categories.
Hiddleston, of course, has been embroiled in some real-life drama of his own as of late, ever since photos of the actor kissing pop star Taylor Swift surfaced online. Things went from minor scandal to full-blown media frenzy when Swift’s ex, DJ Calvin Harris, responded to claims that she had written his hit song “This Is What You Came For” with a Twitter rant to end all Twitter rants.
“I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do,” he wrote in one of his many tweets.
Apart from some totally casual photo shoots and Swift’s much Instagrammed 4th of July bash, Hiddleswift has yet to make their official red carpet debut. The Emmy Awards, which air Sunday, Sept. 18 could very well be the opportunity their publicists they have waiting for.
