The Olsen Twins Bring a Little Luxury to TOMS

Earlier this year, TOMS and
The Row
announced that they would be joining forces to collaborate on a limited edition line of shoes and this week their joint effort finally came to fruition. The line consists of eight pairs of cashmere and italian wool shoes all priced between $98 and $150 - everything of course follows the One for One model that TOMS has become so famous for. Bridging the gap between luxury and philanthropy and self-indulgence, the partnership between the two labels is both innovative and inspiring.

So how did the two totally unrelated labels come together? Blake Mycoskie, founder of TOMS, told us, "The Row approached our team about a possible collaboration a little over a year ago. We were just always amazed by how The Row brings together incredible fabrics and materials with a desire for modern, clean lines. Applied to the TOMS' classic silhouette, the result is unlike any TOMS that have come before." As for working closely with like-minded fashion entrepreneurs Mary Kate and Ashley, Mycoskie said that, "It's been humbling to work with the girls on this collaboration and head their enthusiasm to participate in the One for One movement. They've gone above and beyond to make sure this collection is something we can both be proud of. And something we can hopefully continue doing too!"

The shoes are still true to the TOMS' DNA, but with a little more extravagance infused into the design. They also each have individual names, which are as Mycoskie says, "comprised of some of Mary Kate and Ashley's closest friends; Oliver, Alexandria, Kyle and so on."

As for TOMS' future plans to dip more of their foot into the higher-end shoe market, the label has aspirations to work with other top designers, though they won't say who yet. They also want to create more One for One products (other than their recently released line of eyewear). TOMS tees anyone?
