Lifetime's "Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart" is almost here.
The network released the first trailer for the upcoming film, based on the Braxton's 2014 memoir of the same name, on Wednesday. The movie, starring newcomer Lex Scott Davis as Braxton, details the star's rise to fame, as well as her struggles with bankruptcy and illness.
While speaking to HuffPost Live in May, Braxton opened up about her experience living with lupus.
"Some days I can't balance it all. I just have to lay in bed," she said. "Pretty much when you have lupus you feel like you have the flu every day. But some days you get through it. But for me, if I'm not feeling well, I tend to tell my kids, 'Oh mommy's just going to relax in bed today. I kind of take it easy."
"Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart" debuts on Lifetime on Jan. 23.
